Seventeen Body Peace (Article)

For a couple of years now, Seventeen magazine has had a Body Peace campaign, in which girls can sign a pledge to accept their bodies for how they are. Before, I just read the articles in the magazine, but never really took part in the campaign. Today, that changed: I signed the petition to be at peace with my body, and from now on I’m going to do all that I can to follow its vows! You can do it too:

Some of my favorite vows/ones I need to work on most include:

  • Never allow a dirty look from someone else to influence how I feel about my appearance.
  • Quit judging a person solely by how his or her body looks — even if it seems harmless — because I’d never want anyone to do that to me.
  • Do the little things that will keep my body healthy, like walking instead of hanging on the couch, or drinking water rather than something sugary.
  • Quiet that negative little voice in my head when it starts to say mean things about my body that I’d never tolerate anyone else saying about me.

  1. excellent publish, very informative. I ponder why the opposite experts
of this sector don’t realize this. You should continue your writing. I’m sure, you’ve a huge readers’ base
    already!
